1. Spammers. Anyone posting spam (defined
by the moderators and members as anything not relating to writing, or simple
self-promotion without site participation) will be deleted immediately and the
user and IP address banned.
2. New members. We recommend you
post a message on the Welcome Board when you first join with a brief outline of
your writing interests.
3. Replying to posts. Please use sensitivity and objectivity when replying
to posts. Contention and active debate are by no means discouraged, but respect
for other members must be maintained at all times. The WriteLife Coffee House
is not the place for personal insults and 'flaming'.
4. Unacceptable behavior. Users who are reported to the moderators for
unacceptable behavior by more than one other member will be assessed by the
moderators and, if appropriate, asked by the moderators to modify their behavior.
Should this not occur and complaints continue, the member will be asked once
more. If complaints still continue, the member will be banned.
5. The use of multiple identities when posting on the forum is unacceptable.
No member of the forum should need to use more than a single identity. If,
exceptionally, you need to do this, please place a request in writing to info@writelife.com
explaining your reasons.
6. Adult content. Please remember
that this is a site for all ages of writers, please keep your posts clean and
free of strong language. The moderators may edit or delete any work that does
not appear suitable for our readership without further reference to the poster.
7. Thread hijacking. Try to stick to
the topic of the original post when replying on the forum. If you want to raise
a totally different topic, start a new thread. Please be considerate of the
thread owner. It keeps the topics readable and logical for readers who are not
directly involved.
8. Advertising. WriteLife.com prohibits posting of advertising links, images or
content for the purpose of self-promotion, other than in the WriteLife Self
Promotion Forum. The solicitation or
advertisement of content or other goods, services, or other information not
found or published on WriteLife.com is considered “spam” and not allowed anywhere
in our forums.
